ITI

The Indian economy is in the mode of globalization and liberation and thus in need to develop skilled personnel in appropriate numbers with adequate skills, in consonance with the requirements of the ultimate users such as industries and service sectors. The same is being done by Industrial Training Institutes, well known by it`s their abbreviated form “ITI”.

ITIs were first started in 1969 with the aim of promoting industrialization in India. The largest share of jobs in India is perhaps from unorganized sectors. As small enterprises have been the forerunner in generating employment, It was decided to develop the skills for these sectors. In the beginning, there were only some traditional industrial trades like fitter, machinist, welder etc. in which training was provided. But with the rise of a service sector, trades like hospital management, retail management etc. were added later for training. The vocational training system of India offers to train through ITIs (government institutes) and ITCs (private institutes). There are about 12000 such institutes in the country.

As a survey Done by GTS in various private ITI across India, it was found that the monthly exam conducted by various private ITI and Government ITI attendance ratio of the students  on exam date are  very less. instead of conducting conventional exam if the online exam will be conducted the ratio of attendance will jump at higher side and also a  meeting held with the representatives of the federation of all India private ITI association on 2/7/2015 it was informed by Mr. Sushil Agarwal (Deputy Director of Training)(Dget-12/1/205-TC) that conduction of online exam of theory papers, is still at discussion stage . However keeping in view the future demand and use of technology for conducting transparent examination it is desirable to shift to online examination instead of conventional one. He also informed that online exam was conducted successfully in the state of Madhya Pradesh for SCVT Exams. Keeping this in View of the future requirement we have developed an online exam portal for ITI students which will be definitely a result oriented for the students to get more percentage in their results.
